Newsworthy?

Postby jblu on Sat Nov 29, 2008 9:55 pm

I've been involved with helping to seed the Mepis and AntiX torrents for, well, almost as long as SilverBear started this Forum for us, I guess. To me there has been a noticeable increase in interest as well as the number of downloaded torrents with these last releases. (Two "official" Mepis torrents, Danum's KDE remaster and AntiX., are the ones I've been seeding.)

Does anyone else feel this way? Or have any proof of that, other than my belief? And do you think it's worth a little mention of this at Mepis Lovers, if so?
[I'm also seeing many new members at Mepis Lovers Forum. Maybe we all can pat ourselves on the back for being a little part of that - just a little pat, though.]

I've been watching the number of seeders for about a year.

The number of seeders of the 32-bit versions has usually dropped to a plateau of around 6-8 after each release. For the 64-bit versions, that number has been around 4. We're a little higher than that right now. I can't tell if it is due to increased activity within the torrent team, or due to generally increased torrent activity due to multiple beta releases.
