Login fails on fresh 2008-02 install

Postby cowonjolt on Sun Jul 06, 2008 7:23 pm

Hi all,
I have a fresh install of 2008-02 onto my 2nd drive that boots ok but my login fails. My user name shows ok and I am positive my password is entered exactly the same as it was at installation. Any ideas?. Thanks, cowonjolt :?

Hi cowonjolt,
See if you can log in from command prompt.....
When you get to the sidux login screen, open Menu and choose Console Login.
If successful you can use the startx command. If that works, the problem would seem to be with the login manager. Good luck.
